My Studio Experience!

Having a studio experience was amazing, it was nothing major, just a bit of fun I guess!

I got a present for Christmas that allowed me to go to a studio and record a few songs, and I was extremely excited as this is something that I would like to do everyday! It was a great experience and I think that any aspiring singer should go and have this experience.

For those of you who want to do something similar and are wondering what happened while I was there, i’ll explain it all now.

So, we turned up at the studio and the people there introduced themselves and we did too, they were so lovely and made me feel extremely comfortable, remember, you’re there to have fun! So we sat down and the woman that was going to be recording showed me everything that she was going to be using. I did already have a basic knowledge of what was going to be happening as I am also farmiliar with the music tech side of things! When she had finished explaining what everything was and showing me around, we discussed songs. After choosing 3 songs we started recording!

I went into a seperate room to do the singing to a backing track and when I had finished the woman that I was with started to make sure everything was OK and did the mixing part. This is where you make everything sound how you want it to (basically). After about 3 hours we had finished all 3 songs! I was given 5 CDs of the recordings and I am very grateful for all the hard work that was put into making these CDs!

I highly recommend doing anything like this because it is a great experience and it gives you the opportunity to ask as many questions as you want! Remember that they are professionals and there is no one better to ask than them!

If you’ve ever had one of these experiences I would love to hear about it in the comments! I will also answer any questions 🙂
